Management

Geerke Versteeg

Geerke is co-founder of PHI Factory. Geerke has the ambition to support organisations through actualization power to accelerate towards circular business operations. Her strength lies in her focus on opportunities and solutions. In recent years, she has gained extensive experience in circular procurement, circular facility management, as well as, vision and strategy processes within business operations. She uses her project management skills to tackle projects from start to finish in a structured manner and ensures tangible results. These projects often transpire in complex political organisations. Geerke can structure complex content into accessible information and comprehensible visuals. This way, she translates theoretical circularity and puts it into practice.

Laura Huijgen

Laura is a director and partner at PHI Factory. She draws energy from connecting people, ideas, and ambitions, and helps organizations turn their sustainability goals into action and results. With her extensive experience as a team lead, project manager, and executive, she oversees both the big picture and the path forward. In her role, she provides direction for the team and PHI Factory’s strategy, while remaining involved in client projects. Her strength lies in acting as a partner for organizations seeking to transform. By truly understanding organizations, she knows how to translate sustainability ambitions into concrete steps and lasting impact. On behalf of PHI Factory, Laura is active within the Dutch Association for the Circular Economy. With infectious enthusiasm, clear communication, and confidence in people’s individual qualities, she drives sustainable change.

Yvette Watson

Yvette is a co-founder of PHI Factory and the company’s mission guardian. Analytical. Creative. Driven. With passion, she helps organizations take concrete steps toward sustainable business operations and facilities. She sinks her teeth into ambitious goals and enjoys contributing ideas to the development of circular concepts. When reality gets tough, that’s when Yvette really shines. She doesn’t stop when things get difficult; she only stops when it works. What truly sets her apart is her ability to bring people, organizations, and systems together into something greater than the sum of its parts. She’s someone who drives real change. She regularly gives inspirational sessions and actively participates in programs that accelerate sustainability.

The Team

Michael van der Meer

Michael is an innovator with extensive experience in the service sector and chain collaborations. He enjoys using his energy to restore the world towards regeneration, by connecting and enthusing people. He has developed proven successful coalition programs in which different market players work together towards a common sustainability ambition. Examples include: Circular Coalitions at ASML and Nationale-Nederlanden, the FM Circular community, Buyergoup IT Software and large programs aimed at making entire product chains more sustainable such as the Coffee Cup Pact. Here he makes the link to the SDG ecosystem he has set up, an ecosystem full of sustainable solutions from startups & scale-ups. This has created wonderful chain collaborations between corporates, startups and government.

Kai van Veldhoven

From intern, to working student and now a full time role as a Project Support Officer. With a background in European Studies and Tourism, Kai has learned the value and importance of sustainability. Inclusion in particular is highly regarded by Kai, as he believes it is important that everyone deserves equal opportunities and should be seen to be so. At PHI, Kai is involved in business operations, such as maintaining and updating the website. Furthermore, he works on the PHI Accelerator where he writes content as well as tests and prepares the tool for clients. Kai also works with the PHI Calculator where he processes data and makes it presentable.

Joost Droste

Joost has been working diligently on sustainability since his studies and tries to take others along with him. For example, he once worked at a large beer brewery where he experienced how enthusiastic managers can become as soon as sustainability is made tangible in the form of dashboards and other forms of presentation. This mission drives Joost to make data insightful for the customer and to start the conversation together to design the future for all of us. PHI Factory is the right partner in which he can express his personal mission and passion and accelerate the transition towards sustainability in a large network.

Sandra Snoeijs

Sandra is our jack-of-all-trades. She really is the go-to person for the team members when it comes to the ins and outs. You can come to her with questions about communication, finance and human resource related issues. She is sharp, creative and pragmatic with a Rotterdam mentality. With her sense of humor and sociability she ensures a good atmosphere in the office and a pleasant working environment. She is also part of the MT and helps PHI keep its operations in order. According to her, creating a more sustainable world through cooperation is really going to make a difference.

Remon Nijnuis

Remon is an experienced consultant with indomitable motivation to contribute to sustainable solutions. His passion for sustainability stems from topics such as sustainable food, renewable energy and regenerative agriculture. He is creative, solution-oriented, empathetic and eager to contribute. As part of the PHI Calculator team, he contributes to understanding the footprint and impact of organizations, translating complex data into clear insights.

Lynn Sommeijer

Lynn discovered her passion for sustainability while studying Industrial Product Design, where she focused on sustainable and circular design. She delved further into this topic during her master's degree in Circular Economy and developed her knowledge and skills to make it applicable. Originally from Zeeland, where her love for nature and the environment originated, Lynn now puts her creativity and expertise to use as part of the Procurement team at PHI Factory. Here she works on sustainable solutions with a fresh perspective, constantly looking for ways to make a positive impact.

Eva Ferket

Eva has found the ideal place at PHI Factory to use her enthusiasm and strong motivation for a more sustainable world. During her studies in Wageningen and Gothenburg, Sweden, the first seeds were planted, after which she decided to pursue a master's degree in Global Business & Sustainability in Rotterdam. Besides volunteering with the Young Climate Movement, where she focuses on broad awareness, she now gets the opportunity at PHI Factory to concretely help companies in sustainable, circular and regenerative transition. Her goal is to guide organizations in the required actions in an energetic and positive way. Surrounded by colleagues who are all as intrinsically motivated as her, Eva is ready for this challenge!

Annabel Jansen

Annabel is a positive-minded and intrinsically motivated do-gooder. Her mission is to make the world as sustainable as possible, and she prefers to do this together with clients and colleagues. There passion around sustainability began during her studies where she completed her thesis on sustainable behavior change. After her architecture studies, she has been very active in making the built environment more sustainable in recent years. This experience combined with her eagerness to learn ensures that she always completes projects successfully. And most importantly: Annabel's enthusiasm means that in addition to success, there is also a lot of fun.

Vera Geling

Vera works at PHI Factory at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. She thrives on unraveling complex issues and translating them into concrete, actionable solutions.

Her passion for sustainability stems from a deep commitment to the world around her and the conviction that things must and can be done differently. It is precisely the complexity of sustainability issues that motivates her to contribute to solutions that are not only well-thought-out but also make a real difference in practice.

Vera combines a sharp analytical eye with a hands-on approach. She connects people, ideas, and perspectives and thrives in environments where collaboration and positivity are central.

Tammo Brinkhorst

Tammo’s enthusiasm for sustainability was sparked during his university studies at VU Amsterdam, where he pursued a minor in sustainability and dedicated his theses to sustainable business models. His fascination with nature, systems thinking, and transition issues drives him to look beyond short-term results. Through his experience in the aviation sector, he translated that into concrete ESG expertise. As a consultant, he makes sustainability measurable and understandable for large organizations, from (CSRD) reporting to double materiality analyses. At PHI Factory, he continues that mission: making data transparent and helping organizations move toward a more sustainable future. His goal is to guide organizations in an energetic and positive way toward lasting, sustainable impact.

Lotte van Oorschot

Lotte is a passionate innovator. She draws immense energy from connecting people and building relationships, whether in group settings or one-on-one situations. She does this proactively, and thanks to her vibrant personality, it comes very naturally to her. Trust, openness, and cheerfulness are important values to Lotte. Lotte is highly goal-oriented and sees opportunities everywhere to contribute to a better world. She is confident and disciplined when it comes to achieving goals. Lotte approaches new projects and challenges with an open mind, intellect, and a constructive dose of out-of-the-box thinking. Outside of work, you’ll often find Lotte in nature, preferably on or near the water.

Mira Conci

Mira is an Italian architect, engineer and has a PhD in the environmental and economic sustainability of the built environment. With her ongoing research, she consults on carbon and energy and develops full financial life-cycle analyses using her self-developed modelling tools. She is currently part of EIT Climate-KIC under the initiative 1 Million Near-Zero Energy, Near-Zero Carbon Homes in Europe. She is also an initiator and collaborator at GearCraft, an architecture and property management studio that specialises in adapting buildings to (near) carbon neutrality. In her role as ambassador for the International Future Living Institute, she advocates for regenerative communities and a circular economy. At PHI, Mira is the mastermind behind the carbon₂ calculations of the PHI Impact Calculator.
