How it works

In the facilities sector, significant amounts of raw materials are purchased-such as food, paper and sanitary supplies-that largely leave the building as waste. By providing insight into circularity, organizations can reduce waste and utilize resources more efficiently.

The methodology of the Facility Circularity Index is based on the Circular Transition Indicators, a standardized framework developed by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) to help organizations measure and improve their circular performance. The CTI framework is designed to be easy to implement and flexible to apply. Organizations can measure circularity at different levels, from individual products to the entire business operation. This flexibility is used by PHI Factory to develop a specific product for the facility services industry.
