Circularity Analysis
Understanding the circularity of your product, organization or sector.
The Circularity Analysis provides insight into the extent to which your organization conserves raw materials and thus contributes to a circular economy. We map the circular performance of your organization by analyzing the inflow and outflow and the use of materials and raw materials. Based on these insights, we translate the analysis into concrete improvement opportunities in the field of circularity. Our method is in line with the latest guidelines and legislation, so you not only meet reporting requirements, but also create strategic value at the same time.
Circularity Analysis
What we do
Circularity will become a more important theme than ever in the coming years. This is due in part to tightened government targets, such as those resulting from the Climate Accord and the European Green Deal. The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) also requires organizations to report transparently on their impact on the environment and raw materials. Our circularity analysis supports organizations to contribute to these social goals and get a head start on future regulations and market requirements.
The methodology of the Circularity Analysis is based on the Circular Transition Indicators, a standardized framework developed by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). Designed to help organizations measure and improve their circular performance, the CTI framework is easy to implement and flexible to apply. Organizations can measure circularity at different levels, from individual products to the entire business operation. You see the circularity score of your products or services immediately in the form of a percentage. With the results, data-driven circular strategies and interventions can be developed.
The analysis is based on three main pillars:
Understanding materials and flows
By mapping raw materials, products and waste streams, an organization gains insight into its circularity and discovers where optimization is possible. This promotes reducing waste and utilizing valuable resources more efficiently.
Better decision-making and strategy
With measurable data, companies can make targeted improvements, such as increasing reuse, reducing waste and closing cycles. This makes strategic choices more effective and informed.
Comparability and benchmarking
By using standardized metrics, organizations can compare their performance to competitors and industry standards. This promotes transparency and encourages accountability to stakeholders. Moreover, the methodology aligns with the requirements arising from the CSRD.
