An ecosystem full of sustainable solutions.
Innovation is a major accelerator for organizations transitioning to the circular economy. The world of start-ups is a rich source for innovation, it is where you find (tech)driven entrepreneurs with great ideas who want to improve the world. Now, how do you connect start-ups with corporates and governments? That can still be a challenge at times. We have identified more than 550 start-ups and scale-ups that contribute to one or more goals of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The model is open source, never finished and growing daily. The ecosystem is our way to boost sustainable innovations in the Netherlands and connect corporations and governments to start-ups. #acceleratetogether

Connecting the right parties
Corporations and governments are keen to work with start-ups and scale-ups because of their innovative power and agility. However, in reality this is often challenging due to different (financial) interests, risks, ongoing contracts and slow decision-making. A shame considering the sustainable potential. Through the SDG ecosystem initiative, we would like to shine a light on the wonderful solutions of sustainable start-ups and scale-ups for our customers and work towards establishing real pilots and projects. The start-ups and scale-ups with an orange underscore are impact-driven social enterprises, from Buy Social's network, where profit does not come at the expense of another person or the environment, but has a positive impact and social value.
Accelerate together
PHI Factory is getting to know the companies in the SDG ecosystem better every day, so that we can conduct targeted searches and link them to organizations, or add them to circular coalitions that we execute with clients. In this way, we can make maximum use of each other's expertise and innovation power with the goal of ensuring that promising innovations do find their way into practice.
Subsequently, PHI Factory can supervise, coordinate and assist in the implementation of the coalition and cooperation. In addition, PHI Factory can organize pilots at various levels and use the Impact Calculator to make the impact measurable at organizations in order to determine success and scale up. Through the SDG ecosystem, advice can also be given to organizations for sustainable procurement, with possible expertise on specific SDGs. Through these activities, we like to bring solutions of startups and scale-ups into practice.
